Mjs 7″ 35 Tooth Sculpture Water Green Scissor are a professional light- medium weight grooming scissor made from Japanese VG 10 which is a premium high carbon stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 60-62 that will achieve results with these straight scissors as they have a superior cutting due to the scissor metal hardness, giving them durability and resistance to chipping or breaking as they have the edge to make VG10 a material of choice for professional-grade scissors requiring precision and long-lasting sharpness

*Sculpture* scissors used to finish/texture a cut the ‘T’ shaped teeth allow hair to be pushed away from the cutting blade, giving a much softer and natural finish and they are great for removing scissor marks and blending different lengths of hair the best use of these scissors are on areas like legs, underlines, ears, and heads to blend and smooth out the coat.

You can use sculptures on legs, underlines, ears, head and all over body work if required to use ensure you have a comfortable grip as your thumb should control the movement while your fingers provide stability.

The more teeth a scissor has the more hair they will remove and the smoother they will leave the blend, but the length of the shear is just as critical as the number of teeth. A 48T 6” scissor will cut completely different to a 48T 5” scissor.

A higher teeth count on a scissor is best for around the nose and eyes

*PLEASE NOTE* When using any thinners/sculpture scissors they do require the correct technique to be used. If these types of scissors are used with the wrong technique it will cause the scissor teeth to jam, hit or catch causing damage DO NOT attempt to keep using the scissors as this will only create more damage to the scissors, this ONLY happens when you are applying the incorrect thumb pressure to the scissor and it can also happen when these scissors are “OVER OPENED” which creates the scissor tension/alignment to be incorrect & makes the scissors un-usable this ACTION IS NOT COVERED by Mjs NZ 2017 Ltd Scissor Warranty as ALL of our scissors are checked & tested to be working/cutting 100% by our scissor technicians on departure from us
